Shortcuts Guidelines in Benkyo Box

By Juan Arzola
I recently built Shortcuts actions for Benkyo Box so that you can automate it. Shortcuts actions are implemented via the AppIntents framework. Learning how to use it was easy, but learning how to use it right wasn't, involving watching numerous WWDC videos that changed guidelines throughout the years and trial and error. A good use of the framework helps us build actions that are easy to understand, interoperate, and organize for anybody using the Shortcuts app.

The last Advanced Learner feature that I plan for the first Benkyo Box release is out in beta: Study Deadlines. Deadlines are dates when it's important to have studied a set of cards. Deadlines are assigned to folders.

We live in times where our digital words are slowly drifting away from the actual words we use. Phones autocomplete before we can even recall what we were saying, we have all the time in the world to craft and edit messages to our coworkers in ways we wouldn't actually say them and we can afford to Google the perfect synonym to make us sound good.
