Política de privacidad

Effective Date: July 26, 2026

Vloggie (“we,” ”our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Data Collection and Storage

Our app stores your data on your device in files and user defaults. The app does not sync them or upload them to any server.

2. Analytics and Usage Data

We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymized usage data. Examples of this data are the time spent on a screen, not including any data, like the contents of the video, audio, or metadata in it. We may include non-sensitive numeric data type, such as: type of video created, and number of videos created. This data cannot be linked to any device.

This helps us understand how our users are using our app and how we can improve it. TelemetryDeck does not collect any personally identifiable information. You can read more about TelemetryDeck’s privacy policy at https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy.

3. Face Detection and Haptic Framing

Vloggie helps you frame yourself while recording by translating face position and bounds information received from the camera system into vibrations that you can feel while the phone is pointed away from you.

How detection works: Face detection is performed entirely on your device by iOS, by using the system framework for video and audio capture, AVFoundation. Vloggie does not use its own or any third party facial recognition technology and does not run a face-analysis model. From each camera frame, Vloggie receives only the position and size of a rectangle indicating where a face appears in the frame. It does not receive, compute, or store facial features, facial geometry, faceprints, templates, or any other information that could be used to identify, recognize, or distinguish one person from another. Vloggie cannot tell who you are, and cannot tell one face from another across recordings.

What face position and size are used for: They are used for one purpose: to measure how far the face is from your chosen framing target and drive the corresponding haptic feedback, on-screen framing guidance, and — if you use the face timer — the decision to begin recording. It is used for nothing else. The rectangle exists only in memory for the moment it is used, and is replaced by the next camera frame. It is never written to storage. Vloggie does not save face positions, framing history, or any other detection output alongside your recordings or anywhere else.

No face detection data, video, audio, or image from your camera is ever uploaded, transmitted, or shared. Your recordings stay on your device unless you choose to save or share them yourself

Turning it off: Face-driven framing feedback can be disabled in Settings. With it off, Vloggie does not use face detection for framing haptics. Vloggie requires camera access to record video; face detection is a byproduct of the same camera session and requires no separate permission. Denying camera access disables recording entirely.

4. Data Security

The app’s configuration is stored in User Defaults, in plain text. There are no passwords or user-identifiable information stored in the app’s User Defaults. Video, audio and “sidecar” files (extra information about haptics to assist future noise removal algorithms) are stored in the app’s private sandbox. They are both protected by the system-level iOS Data Protection, which encrypts them when the device is locked, but are not encrypted while the device is unlocked.

Our app transmits anonymized usage only to TelemetryDeck and no other third-party services.

5. Third-Party Services

Vloggie does not integrate with third-party services beyond TelemetryDeck. We do not share your data with advertisers or any other external entities.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Any changes will be reflected with a new effective date, and we’ll notify you in an app update.
