Taking Screenshots
Use the menu bar screenshot tool when you want to turn anything on your Mac screen into a card.
- Click the Benkyo Box icon in the menu bar.
- Choose Screenshot.
- Drag to select the part of the screen you want to capture.
- In the capture panel, choose the destination folder.
- Open the options menu to choose Annotate, Add as Question, or Add as Answer.
- Click Capture and Annotate, Capture as New Question, or Capture as New Answer.
If you want a moment to prepare the screen before capture, open the options menu and set Timer: to 5 Seconds or 10 Seconds.
Leave Open in Folder checked to show the saved capture in its destination folder window. Turn it off to open the new card in its own window.
Choose Previous Screenshot Area to capture the same region again. This option becomes available after your first menu bar screenshot.
You can also use global keyboard shortcuts, even when Benkyo Box is in the background. These are the default shortcuts:
- Take Screenshot: ⌃⌥⌘B
- Last Screenshot Area: ⌃⌥⌘⇧B
