Advanced Learner is a subscription that unlocks additional features to enhance your study experience.

Features Included

Advanced Learner includes:

  • Extract Cards from Text: Quick Entry gains the ability to extract flashcards from text or websites on any device that supports Apple Intelligence. As with any AI, always verify its response before studying it.
  • Arrows & Emoji Pins: Use arrows and emoji pins to point to areas of an image you'd like to remember. Perfect for maps, diagrams, and visualizing a mind palace.
  • Hidden Folders: Hide folders from studies so you can focus on specific topics. Hidden folders won't appear in your study sessions or today's summary, but you can still access and manage them.
  • Transcribe Recordings: Speech in recordings turns to text automatically, preserving the original audio.
  • Equations: Add LaTeX equations to questions and answers.
  • Deadlines: Set deadlines on folders for upcoming tests or important events. Studies increase in frequency before the deadline so you're ready. The app automatically adjusts study intervals as deadlines approach.

Subscription Options

Advanced Learner is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. You can manage your subscription from this section if you're already subscribed.

To upgrade, tap Get Advanced Learner to view subscription options and pricing.

Unsubscribing

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel:

On iPhone & iPad

  1. Open Settings in Benkyo Box and tap Get Advanced Learner.
  2. Tap View Subscription Details.
  3. In the sheet that appears, tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

On Mac

  1. Open Settings in Benkyo Box and go to Get Advanced Learner.
  2. Click Manage Subscription. This opens the Apple subscriptions page in your browser.
  3. Find Benkyo Box Advanced Learner and click Cancel Subscription.

Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.

What Happens When Your Subscription Ends

All content you created while subscribed is preserved — your cards, folders, recordings, arrows, and emoji pins remain exactly as you left them. What changes is access to the tools that create or manage that content:

  • Hidden folders rejoin studies. Folders you had hidden will appear in your study sessions and today's summary again. The hidden setting is remembered, so they become hidden again if you resubscribe.
  • Existing deadlines stay active. Any deadlines already set on folders continue to affect study scheduling. You can still see and remove them, but you cannot set new ones.
  • Arrows and emoji pins remain visible. Existing annotations stay on your cards and appear normally in study sessions and the card editor. You cannot add new arrows or emoji pins.
  • Existing transcriptions remain. Any recordings that were already transcribed keep their text. New recordings will not be transcribed automatically.
  • Extract Cards is unavailable. Cards created with this feature are ordinary cards and stay in your library unaffected.
