Study Progression

This section lets you customize how cards progress through their study intervals and when they're considered finished.

Final Interval

The Final Interval setting determines when cards are considered finished. After you score a card as Easy at the final interval, it won't appear in future study sessions anymore.

The default final interval is 2 weeks. You can change it to 1 month or set it to an earlier interval if you prefer shorter study cycles.

After study sessions, cards are temporarily excluded from studies for a rest interval to help them stay in long-term memory. High scores increase their interval and move progress forward, while low scores keep them in their current interval.

Retry Cards In Study Sessions

When enabled, cards can appear multiple times in the same study session if you score them. This allows you to practice cards you're struggling with more intensively.

When disabled, each card appears only once per session, even if you score it poorly. This helps you cover more cards in a single session.

This setting is disabled by default because it's generally preferrable to not see cards too many times in a row, as it leads to confusing recall with recognition (thinking one knows something when we only recognize it).
