Shortcuts
Benkyo Box works with the Apple Shortcuts app and Siri, so you can automate everyday tasks and build your own workflows. You can create cards, start a study session, check your progress, import decks, and more — all without opening the app.
There are two ways to use Benkyo Box with Shortcuts:
- Ready-made shortcuts — Built-in shortcuts that appear automatically and respond to spoken Siri phrases.
- Shortcut actions — Individual building blocks you combine in the Shortcuts app to make your own automations.
To find them:
- On iPhone & iPad Open the Shortcuts app, tap +, tap Add Action, and search for Benkyo Box.
- On Mac Open the Shortcuts app, create a shortcut, and search the action list for Benkyo Box.
- Ask Siri using one of the phrases in Ready-Made Shortcuts.
The actions and Siri phrases available to you depend on your device's operating system version. Some actions, such as Study Card, require iOS, iPadOS, or macOS 26 or later.
Most actions that create or change cards run quietly in the background. Actions whose names start with Open or Study open the app so you can see the result.
